We are looking for candidates with the following attributes/skills:
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years or older
- Access to reliable transportation for safe travel
- Ability to pass various background checks
- Capability to lift 50-75 pounds
- Strong interpersonal skills for communication with families and individuals with developmental disabilities
- Attention to detail and ability to focus on tasks
- Dependable, motivated, and trustworthy
- Successful completion of HUD inspection with at least one available bedroom
- Preferred experience and knowledge in working with the developmentally disabled community
- Preference for wheelchair-accessible homes with ramps or wheelchair-friendly features
- Passion for improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities
- Understanding of developmental disabilities, mental health, and trauma is beneficial
- Effective, composed, and compassionate intervention and redirection skills
- Willingness to collaborate with families, individuals, and agencies
- CNA or medical training is a plus but not required
Contractors will receive competitive stipends for providing 24/7 care in their homes for the individual(s). Roundup Fellowship will provide all necessary training.
